Sophomore Activities As usual with the Sophomore Class, we began our drive for funds with the sale of pencils. The Class of 1943 is proud of its having sold more pencils than any other Sophomore Class. We sold 1000 pencils which earned for us 525. In the second semester we sponsored for the lirst time in the history of school a contest to collect bread coupons, offering very substantial prizes to those collecting the most. Prizes were won by Mary Atwood and Mary Lou Eagan. The class earned about S20. As this book goes to press the Sophomore Class expects to sponsor at least one more function. Walter Lee.
