N Depew's long history, the 1953- 54 football team added a brilliant season to the already long list of suc- cessful teams. Losing only one game, the team rolled up a record of seven wins and one loss . A highlight of the ear was the im- pressive last half exhibition of team work in the 26-21 win over Lancaster to attain the Rotary trophy. The Divi- sion ll title and the little three cham- pionship also came into the possession of the Wildcats . lndividual performances of Don Scamurra, the leagues high scorer, Benny Giangualano, Frank Lojacono, Ronnie Her and others rate special mention for their notable performances in the ames . Altiough the team consisted mostly of seniors, many juniors are expected to roll out another impressive record next year.
