At the beginning of the unior year we elected our officers and our class advisor feeling certain that our choice would prove to be the combination that would bring about a successful year. Our first very successful affair was an Inter Class Dance which was held in November. Then came a Movie and Dance. This combination was very well received by the student body and proved to be a real success. In February another Inter-Class Dance was held again proving the popularity of the combined undertaking of the three classes After careful consideration and thought the Iuniors and Sen iors decided to combine the unior Prom and Senior Ball and choose a King and ueen from the Senior Class and a Prince and Princess from the unior Class Elaborate preparations were made for this affair every member of the two classes working hard planning decorating and selling tickets The affair turned out to be a tremendous success both financially and socially And now as our unior year draws to a close we are concen trating on the fact that we will have to l1ve up to the traditions established by past graduating classes It is therefore, up to us as next years Seniors to serve as an example and to perpetuate the traditions of Depew High School 39 we 7. Nine boys came out for the team and after the Hrst meet many more boys joined. Additional interest was stirred up when the University of Buffalo wrestling team put on an exhibition of wrestling in the gym. As a result of constant practice a green group of boys were developed into a fine wrestling team which did exceptionally well. lt is hoped that a larger number of boys will come out for the team the following year and realize the benefits of wrestling.
