Cupid's Arrows Fl for Rebel Ladies The Red Cross Club once again spon- sored the traditional Cupid's Beau Dance, held on February 14. This was the only girl-ask-guy dance throughout the year. Pleshette Fambrough, President of the Red Cross Club, worked with other members to make this dance a successful one. Refreshments were donated by King Soopers, and Mark Shuman played popular hits to entertain the dancing Rebels. Highlighting the evening was the cor- onation of the Cupid's Beau King, Iosh Kuhn, attended by Dennis Masel, lay Ford, lim Quinn, and limgganlan. Rebs Raise Thousands for MD Rebels pose with the KIMN chicken -R Beth Solomon found a new friend at the dance. ' ' I N X The pie-eating champion: loe Straub! Carmen Becker and Sherri lohnson dance for SPODSOV R-H0dY lOl10S00 beesiee dewn- big dollars. This year the DECA Dance proved to be successful and entertaining as always. The contributions sent to the Muscular Dystrophy Association exceeded those of last year, a feat that has been accomplished every year. Although there were few participants, C152 to be exactl, this year's pledges totaled 10,518 dollars, an amount that sponsor Randy lohnson is very proud of. The top fund raiser this year was lunior loanne Psyllas, with over 1,000 dollars in pledges. The reward for such efforts was a free trip on Continental Airlines anywhere in the United States. Other top fund raisers were Beth Law and Carmen Becker. Beth received a trip to Aspen A and Carmen received a trip to Keystone. The dance was for a good cause, and participants were entertained by many interesting activities. These included lipsinc, bubble blowing, pie eating, and limbo competitions. Although individual work was a big part, participation by companies and organizations was high as well. Food was supplied by Pizza Hut, McDonald's, and Kentucky NHHCY FOX and Sarah Manien with Steven B- and The Hawk. Fried Chicken to help support the weary Rebel dancers. Students also enjoyed the appearances of disc jockeys from KAZY, KBPI, KRZN, and KDKO. ACTIVITIES f 27 ..-It ig lasts...

Each class elected its own members from fourth hour classes to this council. These members assisted the students who had already been elected to Senate offices. The councils provided fresh and different ideas to benefit the school and added an important element as more voices and ideas were heard. Activities produced through such groups and their efforts were more satisfactory to everyone. junior class council member Todd Grayson stated, 'lt opened my eyes to what Senate was doing, and l got more involved in my school.
