The curtcdns parted, showing South Rampctrt Street, the senior dcmce line appeared kicking to the strains of Mimi, and South Terrific had begun. Some talented Rebs sang and danced and others demonstrated remarkable ability on musical instruments as the show progressed from Rampart Street to the South Pacific and to our own Southern Customs. The Hawaiian War Chant and an authentic hula dance set the mood for the South Pacific scenes while dance lines to Dixie and Fasci- ncrtin ' Rhythm showed the Southern Customs hospi- tality of Southern Belles. Patriotically, all costumes in the final act were of purple and white, and as the curtains closed the audience demonstrated an exub- erant enthusiasm. Randy Christman, John Fowler, Dean Guinn and Rick Works blend their voices in an old English ballad.
