'fit l Ladders, chalk and the artistic talents of Iudy Brehm and Ethel McDowd produced the beautiful backdrops for the All-School Show. ,ty Have Fun-- ill Travel The lights dimmed at exactly 8:00 p.m. as the All-School Show Orchestra vigorous- ly opened Have Fun-Will Travel. The show proceeded with smooth precision and perfection as the audience of pccrents and students toured America via Manhattan, New Orleans, and 'Frisco. Three fabulous acts displayed the versatility of Southern performers as they changed from the sophis- ticated mood of New York to the merry atmosphere of New Orleans and the exotic mood of San Franciscds Chinatown. Behind the scenes the stage crew made sets and controlled the ropes while Mr. Wells and Mr. Goff developed the musical scores. Mr. Mitick and Mr. Graber co-ordi- nated the script and the cast of over 175 to make the production professional in its qual- ity. The many hours of work and rehearsal were evident in the performances held on February 18 and 19. Mr. Seiler, Mr. Carr, Mr. Page and Mr. Brandhorst of the Old Timers' Quartet show excellent dance-line form while straining their tonsils in an effort to reach the high notes of You Gotta Have Heart.

The curved fingers ot Lee Pra- ter poised on the keyboard of ivory reflect the training and practice required to au- dition for the Purple and White Day Show. Dave Isaac captivates the audience ot the Color Day Show with his monologue for Sea Scape. Purple And White Dau Show The grand finale of the talent performances of South was the Purple and White Day Show. One of the year's best productions, Sea Scape disproved the superstition that Friday the 13th is unlucky as the show progressed with smooth perfection to the crowning of the class queen, After winning in competitive auditions, the acts from the three classes, sophomore, junior and senior, practiced diligently to present their talent on behalf of their class to honor the royal court. Traditionally the President of Folio Leaves begins the show with a monologue. Ai- ter President Dave Isaac opened the show, the class queens were crowned as the silent au- dience watched with anticipation. Amid the sobs of dateless senior girls Sea Scape began the 1960 Purple and White Day festivities. -I
