As freshmen, we were lost at first, but, with the friendly atmosphere, it didn't take us long to get into the groove of things. Then things really began to happen. There were football games, basketball games, volleyball, golf, and track. Even with all the activities, our main goal was to become upperclassmen. Next , we became sophomores. At this time we began to lose some of our shyness and began to participate in clubs and other school activities. Our year ended with a picnic at the city park. Finally, we became juniors. We weren't underclassmen anymore. At first, some had the big head because they were upperclassmen now and could tell the freshmen and sophomores what to do. When school finally got under way, we began the task of selling tags. No one really liked it, but we had to raise money for the banquet, Moonlight and Roses, that was held at the end of the year. We also had lots of fun presenting the junior class play, The Hobgoblin House. The night of graduation, we thought we were more excited than the seniors because we received our senior rings that night. At last we became seniors. This was one of the happiest but yet, the saddest moments in our lives. We knew that we could never be an official part of D,C,H,S, again. With graduation, we must realize that we are only beginning life in the world, but we still hold dear the memories of the pep rallies, the class plays and parties, but most of all our great sponsors. We would like to thank all who have made our high school years a success. Class of '71 aj af' 1 1 v E ,Q R
