We had charge of the concessions at some of the footballgames fand incidently, we're proud that jay Wa.rd,Dayn1ond Brock, and Clarence Reed made the A Squadl. We celebrated the Xmas season with a big party in the gym, and ended the year with a barbecue at the football stadium. We entered our Sophomore year, a little older and a little bolder with Don Swadley as sponsor, JerryYa.rbrough as president, jay Ward, vice president, Lee Wayne Newman, secretary-Ueasurer, and Roy Miller, reporter. The enrollment for this year decreased. Again we had some concessions and had another successful Xmas party., After a very good time we ended our Sophomore year. As Juniors, we elected Reva Newsom and john Knight as sponsors, jerryYarbrough, president, Hannah Kidd, vice president, Mary Harrison, secretary- treasurer, and Shirley Deets, reporter. We ordered junior pins very soon, and after they came, we made sure everyone saw them. We not only had charge of some concessions, but we also kept busy by selling tags. We were given a wonderful Xmas party by the Seniors. .After Xmas, Mr. Knight left, and we chose Mr, DeSautell.as sponsor. He directed our Junior Play. Strictly Formal, which proved to be a big hit. Then we made plans for the Junior-Senior Banquet, one of the biggest highlights of the year, For guy they-he,we Chose Stars Over Morocco. We will always remember the wonderful time we had. For our spring party, we went to the Plains Park. Everyone survived the great Battle of the Water Gun, and we returned to Denver City, a tired, but happy lot. As the term of 52 ended, we were already making plans for the long awaited ---- our Senior Year. And now, that long awaited is here! Our enrollment is smaller this year, as some of our classmates have moved away, while Cupid's arrows led others to the altar. We elected Jeanne Robinson and Mr. DeSautell as sponsors, with Roy Miller, president, Clarence Reed, vice president, Shirley Deets, secretary- treasurer, and Wanda Williamson, reporter. Our Erst event of the year wa s the Halloween Carnival. Our Senior rings arrived much to our delight, and they are prettier than we remembered them to be when we ord e re d them. This year it was our time to be host, and we honored the Juniors with a Xmas party. After the party we all went carolling and then to the Drive-Inn Theatre, compliments of Mr. Capps. The year is now half over, and we still have much to look forward to--our Senior Play, Junior-Senior Banquet, S enior Trip, and last of all, Graduation. Though we will soon be leaving high school, we will always remember the friends and classmates who made these four years the best of ou.r lives.
