School Pianos Arrive Three new pianos for the music room, the orchestra pit. and the auditorium stage arrived this week. The music room piano is a Hud- dorti vertical, the orcht-mio on piano is a Kimball vt-ftticrtt, mio the stage piano is a Kimhnll Lottie XV concert grand. Tho um Kim- ball pianos were purchased from the Melody Shop at Hobbs and the Haddorff from C. B. Lively will Con Music Co. in Lubbock. Miss June Carthcl, teucht-1' in tht- newly expander! music ilopttrtnicnt. announces that intercst in t-hoyztl work in both high school and granite school is unusually high. '1'ht-to are 38 students, enrolled in tht- hiygh school mixed chorus and 57 in thc junlor girls' chorus. Officers for these organizations will hc elected the latter hart of thtt-s wock. The 1560-51 enrollment of the Uenver City high school for the first month of svhoul is the highest Since 1940 and stands now at one hnnclred and sixty-eight. A larger pm-centage of the enrollment ls boys which is unusual, there being Itflil boys and 68 girls. Some new students have enrolled almost every week since school hegan. The newest enrollee is Jesse Frf-eman, a sophomore who last at- tended Seugraves high school.
