DENTSVILLE HIGH SCHOOL SEAL It has been our honor to present to the Dentsvilie High School student body a seal which we feel represents the fine character and scholastic leadership of our student body. The torch is a symbol of knowledge and represents learning. This applies not only to the students at Dents- vilie but also to the faculty that guides us in attaining our education. The two masks of comedy and tragedy represent the fine arts. The drama club, and the band, art, chorus, and speech classes with their attendant clubs would be typical of this symbol. The winged foot with the Roman sandal portrays excellence in our athletic program and the toil of hard work and fail sportsmanship demanded by it. The charter and gavel are representative not only of the clubs and organizations at Dentsvilie but also of our elected officers and student government. The key in the center stands for the success and opportunity afforded Dentsvilie students as they grow up to adults capable of bearing the responsibilities of citizenship in their community, city, state, and country. Fur- thermore, it represents the key to a growing school, and that is our growing community. Our school mascot, the Cougar, is a representation of the student body. It is only fitting that the Dentsvilie High School Cougar should rest on our motto, Semper Fidelis - Always Faithful.
