The Latin Club, a member of the Junior Classical League, sent delegates to the State Convention in Greenville and to the Latin Fo- rum in Rock Hill this year. The club’s purpose is to encourage an interest in and appreciation of the civilization, language, literature, and art of ancient Rome and to give some understanding of the debt of our culture to that of classical an- tiquity. FUTURE TEACHERS OF AMERICA The Future Teachers Club is composed of girls interested in going into the teaching profession. The girls helped with the Stu- dent Council’s Christmas Drive, attended a football game as guests of the University of South Carolina, and sponsored Operation T-Cup, a tea to raise money for a teaching scholarship to a student going into teaching. It has been a busy year for girls in F. T. A.
