MRS. KNIGHT Chorus Director 0UoruA The Dentsville High Chorus, or Les Chansonettes, is a club for all girls interested in music. The purpose of the Les Chansonettes is to promote love, understanding, and appreciation of music; to provide entertainment for scheduled performances; and to promote fellowship, loyalty, achievement, dependability, co-operation, and character through group participation. tub The Latin Club is composed of first and second year Latin students. Its purpose is to in- crease interest in the Latin language and ancient Rome. Representatives are sent from the club to the Latin Forum held annually at Winthrop College in Rock Hill, South Carolina. Judy Elkins, Judy Ingram, Charleen Benecker, Suzanne Wunder, Johnny Beck, Gail Fredrick, Diane Ledoux, Melody Morgan, Michelle Maybay, Peter Padu'a, Joan Perrot, Cathy Alexander, Pat Valentine, Gene Hagood, Mary Ann Jefferies, Virginia Savage, Bonnie Castles, Sheila Boyer, Laurie Viggiano, Sue Price, Barbara Brazell, Mrs. Williams, sponsor, David Givens, Richard Loging, Wilson Nelson, Veldee Hightower. This year is the third since the initiation of the Spanish Club at Dentsville. The purpose of the organi- zation is to increase student interest in the language, culture, and history of Spain and the South American countries. The membership is restricted to second semester, first year students and second year Spanish students.
