Child Care Services is a laboratory-type occupational training program for advanced Home Economics students. Participants learn about the types of jobs involving child care and development, the scope and nature of such jobs, and responsibilities assumed by teacher aides. Experience is gained through student observation, participation in supervising and assisting children with personal habits and with creative play activities, and creating and conducting activities which promote social, mental, and physical growth of children. Some of the specific activities done were the making of toys, games, bulletin boards, and Christmas crafts, preparing children for lunch and naps, conducting playground activities, reading stories, doing clerical work, changing diapers, and rocking and burping the babies.

This machine aids Mr. Miller in sending off transcripts as well as helping other staff members in copying materials needed.
