Foreword True success belongs to the man who sets his goal high, travels always toward it, and re- fuses to be sidetracked, regardless of the cost. Through the years of our life at Denton School we, the students, have developed our minds in knowledge and have formed priceless memories which will be ours forever. Since, we, as seniors, have the privilege of presenting to you the 1959 PHOENIX, we have tried to preserve these memories in a manner which will be accurate and pleasing to members of the student body. In the classroom as we searched for knowlege, in the gym as we cheered our team, at social functions where we gave our gaiety free rein, we have learned to love our fellow-students, to admire the goals set for us by our faculty, and to respect the power of truth. As each succeeding group attains our position, we feel sure they will realize how bitter-sweet the experience of editing an annual can be.
