Class Prophecy You must be very tired, so let ' s fly over to Betty Lou Kinney ' s res¬ taurant and get something to eat. Her star cream and moonburgers are always refreshing. If everyone is finished, we will go to Milky Way Boulevard to see our movie stars. On Studio One, Roger Smith is rehearsing for his next show, Where In the Universe. Getting ready for the next scene is Barbara Yokley, our concert pianist. She is on hydrovision too. We can ' t see Jimmy Huffman today, because he is on location on the moon. He has wonderful tap routines for his next picture, Singing in the Stars. Now let ' s slip on your rockets again, and be very quiet. Do you see that Mercu-bite structure over there? Larry Penry is in that building doing research on cosmicmissiles for Inter-Planet Security Council. Larry has already visited six planets. Now you have seen every member of the Senior Class of 1953. If you want to see us again, ask Mrs. E. O. Lane, because she is the only person we can communicate with. Oh, Stars! I almost forgot to tell you what I am doing, but youhave just seen-- I still run errands and make announcements just as I did in Denton High School. If you ever space it up to Mars, please let us be your guide again. Nancy Crouse Class Prophet Class Song (Tune - Auf Wiederseh ' n) Auf Wiederseh ' n, - auf Wiederseh ' n We’ll meet again, classmates These lovely years have flown away The time has come to part. We ' ll meet again - like this again Don ' t let the teardrops start. With memories of our school years Auf Wiederseh ' n, classmates. Barbara Yokley Class Song Writer

Class Prophecy Mars - J une l6, 2053. To you people on earth this mayseemvery strange. The senior class of 1 953 has come to this planet in a space¬ ship invented by James Howard Loftin, and we have lived here for a hun¬ dred years by drinking a drug discovered by Chemist, Leon Walker. I am sure all of you want to know what every member is doing; so if you will follow me, you will soon see. Here is Jupiter Square, to which most of you have already been at¬ tracted by the bronze statue of our science teacher, Mr. A. M. Snider. Across the street from the square is our largest space-ship manu¬ facturing plant, owned by Carl Glover and Roby Loflin. Because this plant extends for a block, we will cross another street to Venus Avenue. The building you see there covers 50 acres. Most of the girls work here because it is our only clothing industry. In the de¬ signing department Jane Tillotson has just finished the design of a steel coat which will certainly be needed because of our severe winters. In the sewing room, Betty Louise Buie is supervising the seamstresses, Elwina Lanier and Jamie Rea Laughlin. Down in the modeling depart¬ ment Shirley Harrison is modeling a lovely aluminum gown for stylist Eugene Snider . Since we use mechanical machines, sales people aren’t needed. Before we go out of the store, we’d better put on d ark glasses be¬ cause up here we are much nearer the sun. Our next stop is the Patrol Station. Oh! Maybe I should have pre¬ pared you for this; but since you are here, you might as well see. There they are, Phyllis Garner and Doak Gallimore, with miniature rockets on each arm ready for duty. All of us use these miniatures in place of cars, and Bob Morris has become a millionaire from manufacturing them. They were his idea, of course. Beside the Patrol Station, Ralph Cook and Ronald Morris operate our only farms . All our food is raised without soil, but with electricity. If anything explodes, Phyllis and Doak will be right on hand. Patsy Sexton and Jean Tysinger are experimenting hour after hour with cosmetics. They have made a lipstick that the sun can’t melt and a shampoo that dyes hair by washing it. Crossing to Moonbeam Street — Oh I Wait- here comes Ronald Mor¬ ris with a rocket load of plants. On the corner of Moonbeam Street, Dot Branson and Joan Davis are content with their exotic beauty parlor. These girls use products from the Pat-Jean Lab. Before we go any further, I know you want to see our University; so just slip on your rockets, and we will be there in a second. The found¬ er, Rex Luther, is on Mercury now- giving lectures. We will be greeted by the president, Bobby Dean Williams. Professor Graham Snider is with the English Department. Miss Mary Louise McDowell is teaching Math, and Erie Maynard is coaching his football teams . They have been Universal Champions for the past three years. You must know who planned the beautiful college building. Miss Nellie Rogers was the architect; and with the help of Gene Peacock, they were constructed. As we fly from the University, notice the houses. All but one are of glass. The wooden home belongs to Louise Young, “The Anderson’s really. ” Bill used to work for a lumber company, so he used wood to make him feel at home. Louise has a kindergarten all her own.
