QKnock, Knockj Hi! I'm from Denton High and I'd like to know if you'd be interested in buying some . . . Yes, I knew you'd recognize that. It seems that everybody is always trying to raise money for something. The best way clubs have found is through the many fund-raising programs. At the beginning of the year, fund raising companies from all over the country come and show their new items and their best- sellers, hoping that the clubs will try to make a deal with ,f ' N 2 rfb - ' 1 . it . if Y - .. if ,fi g Xt W5 ag. ith if ... them. One of the most popular ways that the clubs have found to raise money is with candy. M8:Ms and America's Finest Chocolate seem to be on the top of that list. But, some of the clubs have chosen a new item to try to raise money. For example, the National Honor Society sold decorative shoelaces, Cracker lack Tins, and Goo-Goo candy bars, where as the German Club has changed from selling their usual Gummi Bears to selling Gummi People. -I n in 7 QI O ,. The make-up has been touched up for the last time. The car has been borrowed, along with the gas money, and, with a little luck, the curfew has been extended. lt's eight o'clock on a Satur- day night and time to cruise. Not all of us admit to en- joying cruising, however, just about all of us, at one time or another, have found ourselves looking anxiously around the strip while waiting for the light to change. -at 'H if I Whatever the reason for being on the strip, by nine o'clock University Drive is bumper to bumper and the cruising has begun. Friends scream greetings to one another, radios are cranked, and engines are racing. Of course, not everyone cruises the strip all night long. As the evening pro- gresses, various plans are made. There's always plenty of houses to toilet paper, par- ties to go to, speeding tickets to get, and fun to have! Bill Iron Dime Koberly, Tim Silver Dollar Eads, Andy Lead Penny Rudtland, and john Copper Quarter Suttle, members of the notorious Loose Change Gang, prepare to toilet papera victim's house.
