MAY 25, 1981 Dear Diary, I can't believe it's here, after four years, tomorrow is the day, I graduate! What am I talking about? Little Mary Beth ripped my gown last week playing dress up. What am I going to do? Just this week I have been late for two rehearsals. Once because my dog decided to come along, but forgot to tell me. So far, three announcements have been returned for lack of postage, four with no such address, two with no reply, and one asking who I was, tl think that was the little red- headed girl to whom I gave my cooties! My Aunt Polly was so gracious, she sent not one, but a two year subscription to Psychology Today. Yesterday my father asked me what I wanted to be when I grew up. The real shock came when I couldn't answer. I thought about being a full-time babysitter, but what kind of a retirement plan could you have on 51.75 an hour? lknew all my problems were solved when l thought I had been drafted, but actually it was just another offer to join voluntarily. I stop- ped laughing when I had to make a trip to the Post Office to register for the draft. That's when reality shattered my world .. .STOP LET ME GET A HOLD OF MYSELF! Besides who is going to notice if my socks don't match tomorrow? I'lI have a diploma!
