Boys in shop have the opportunity to develop vocational skills and interests. ., -v-,,. -X Like all seniors, Marcy Bullington spends one period a day in a study hall. Using this time to the best advantage, she gathers information for her term paper from one of many encyclopedias available to students. Enthusiastic Pep Club members Martha Wahlert, Lee Ann Rodgers and Sara Leith have mixed emotions about a play during the football game against Hal- tom City. Participation in the activities of Den- ton High School forms a lasting me- mory in the life of any student. This phase of student life is centered on group as well as individual achieve- ment. Activities encourage partici- pants to contribute to the success of school projects, gaining the rewards of personal involvement. Extra-cur- ,ML . V ricular activities augment the social aspect of a student's life. They af- ford an occasion for making new acquaintances and for meeting with friends outside the classroom. Parties and special activities, though focused primarily on the enioyment of the en- tire student body, hold a special meaning for each individual. With Summertime Plcinning Preparing for the '67-'68 school a year, active students devoted much of their summer vacation to workshops, conventions, re- hearsals and meetings. Members of clubs and organizations out- lined plans tor the coming year's activities. Lots of extra practice helped the Bronco cheerleaders to win many awards at SMU during the summer. The girls attended the cheerleading school to learn new yells, compete with other high school cheerleaders for awards and to practice routines for the school year. Senior Ronnie Camp takes the aptitude test given during the summer to help him recognize his potentials in the various 'Fields of learning, and to schedule his classes to better comply with his intellectual interests. School counselors, Mrs. Kamma nand Mrs. Holt, deliver the schedules to be computed by the IBM machines.
