When journalism teacher Doug Bennett fabove, rightj canit be found in that incredible Room 104, nor in the darkroom, his office or the building, it's pretty safe to reckon he's at Terrill Wheeler Printing Co., sweating out the Horseshoe. Above Bennett is pictured with Wheeler, center, and printer Bob Burgoon, admiring the product of their toil. The Horseshoe, second-year journalism lab project, is published bi-monthly fholidays and six-weeks tests permittingj by students of Denton High School. Every effort is made to have the Horseshoe ready to distribute at the end of assemblies on Fri- days. Here Ginger Pearce is swamped with demands for the sheet. Mrs. Kaye Hanley returned to the scene of the crime this year and was shot chatting with Ann Wells and Linda Roberts. Right: Judd Holt and Laura Ballard blushingly acknowledge cheers from the populace. Homecoming, the Latin Depart- ment was' ready with a float for the parade. Boarding same are Josephine Hutcheson, Ann Har- ris, Peggy Schluter, Pat Moore, lean Kirkpatrick and Ann Myers. Succeeding Kaye Hanley in the Latin Department this year is Mrs. L. F. Connell tstanding belowt. The popular teacher makes every effort to prevent the dead languages becoming just that-dead. A variety of activities, researches, exercises and projects help make the study a lively, interesting one, as is evidenced by the continued popularity of Latin under the new regime of Mrs. Connell. .Zara
