The language of diplomats is taught by Mrs. Virginia Blair, who also speaks English fsee preceding pagej. Mrs. Blair is a great believer in the use of audio and visual aids in teaching her students a practical knowledge of Frenchf, However, she doesn,t skimp the cultural angle, and the best of French literature at least has a nodding acquaintance with DHS grads when they go out of school to careers and college. Above she's pictured spinning discs for Retha Christopher and Linda Ford. At far left, the class gathers 'round the Steinway to make music in the continental man- ner. Always singin' an' dancin'- a joy and comfort to us all! Below left, Sara Neale and ,lose- phine Neal try to work out their relationship to one another dur- ing a French class. Didn't work -they're not related. And, Mrs. Blair again, taking things easy and informal, which, we're told, is a great part of her charm. l f'.1iZiZK2ZI'Z!Zi3ii f lisa- ..
