Music Two new faculty members joined D.H.S.'s Music Department for the 1955-56 school year: Robert Payne, choir, and Robert Frost, orchestra. And with outstanding performances and successes to their credit behind them, it is to be hoped many more years will see the pair holding forth from their respective podiums. The A Cappella Choir fPayne,s pride and joyj frequently is heard at various public functions . . . and more often in assembly before the student body. His fifty vocalists are instructed in group singing, individual performance and the basic techniques re- quired to make beautiful music emerge through the human larynx and diaphragm. The orchestra, newly-formed this school year by Frost, attracted an unusually large number of string- conscious students from a student body of just over 700. Nothing is so gratifying to the heart of the Horseshoe staff as the cheerful. eager clamor of fellow students clus- tering about the courtesy desk every other Thurs- day. scrambling for copies of the paper.
