U O1 Senior Class Play Miss Ott, Orville Jensen, Jack Goessl, Aaron Arveson, Elwin Marlow, Darwin Johnsen Willette Yindra, Helen Marcussen, Grace Shusta, Ronald Reetz, Phyllis Jacobsen Eunice Nollak Jeanette Goessl The senior class of nlneteen hundred and forty six of the Denmark High School, nresented nG1Tl Shy' by K Kavanaugh, a three act comedy, as their class play The play was directed by Miss Gtt and presented the first week in May 46 qw.-.M Forensics 3. Joan Locke, Marge Champeau, Grace Shusta, Florence Wanish, Willette Yindra, Gertrude Lacenski. 2. Mr. Trachte, Miss Ott, Mary Maurer, Shirley Ann Leitch, Loretta Johnson, Carol Chvala, Rose Marie Ferry, Ellen Banta. 1. Jerry Reetz, Elwin Marlow, Phyllis Jacobson, Eunice Wollak, Darwin Johnsen, Donna Halada, Laverne Brey, Jack Goessl. An 'A' rating was received by Carol Chvala for her humorous decla- mation, while Ellen Banta and Darwin Johnsen both received second places in extemporaneous reading and orations respectively.

Gloria Liebeck, Earl Biellnski PROM The scent of flowers was 1n the air as the cou ples left for the prom on tle evening of Aprll 26 Attired in best suits and tuxedos, the boys squired their lovely dates dressed ln formals reflecting the soft colors of spring Silhouettes, in black, of dancing couples a gainst a background of the moon, appeared on the walls of the tall, to helr carry out the theme song, 'Magic is the Moonlight ' As played by S1ep's Crchestra, the 'Moonlight' was indeed magic The ingenious Juniors also used apple green ln their decorating, giving the hall the right note of spring Her Highness, Lois Barta, and his Majesty, Aaron Arveson, led the grand march The long procession of gay couples swept past the rows of spectators who watched the gala night with keen interest. A prom is certain to become a tradition of De Hi, after our first one was so successful. Holly Ball Against a background of heaven blue and silver stars, dancers swirled gracefully to the melodic rhythm of Duke Janda's orchestra This year's Holly Ball carried as its theme, 'Serenade in Blue Couples made their entrance through an arbor of evergreens and mistletoe, under a shower of confetti The artistic Sophomores carried on the tradition of having a huge Christmas tree, adorned with multi colored lights which lent to the hall a distinct romantic touch During the Grand March, which was led by Earl Bielinski and Gloria Liebeck, spectators viewed th9 procession of dainty party dresses set off with lovely corsages The well attended ball ended with a galaxy of 'Merry Christmases to all ' Lois Barts, Aaron Arveson.
