DESIDWEILER Dr. Detweiler became acting dean of men of Denison University in the fall of 1927. His capa- bility in handling the position during that year caused him to become installed as permanent dean of men the following year. I-Ie has discharged his duties with prudence and careful consideration to individual cases. Mr. Detweiler also does a lot in helping men to select the right courses of study and in securing summer and permanent employment for students. In addition to his duties as dean he teaches courses in sociology and conducts extensive research work throughout the United States on this subject. . V , T riff I -gig.. EOWLE Dean Fowle, a graduate of Vassar in the class of 1916, came to Denison in the fall of 1928 to take over the position of Dean of Women of the university. She has proved herself a most active and likeable dean of women, gaining all the popu- larity on the campus possible for a dean of women to hold. Under her reign, or shall We say admin- istration, we have seen a modification of many of the rules and added privileges given to women, to say nothing of the granting of the privilege of dancing at Denison social functions. BRYANT C. MORRIS Assistant to the President in the Centennzal Campazgn Mr. Morris was chosen by the trustees of Den- ison University to act as executive head of the 33,000,000 Centennial campaign among Denison llumni, students, and friends. I-Ie was graduated from Denison in the class of 1916 and later attended I-Iorton School of Finance, Philadelphia. During the past year he has become popular with Denison students as director of the student centen- nial campaign. Mr. Morris spends much of his time visiting alumni and centennial leaders in various Denison centers such as Dayton, Chicago, and Cleveland. His executive ability has made him a great boon to Denison.
