They were given a arty on New Year's Eve at the hotel where they stayed that night. They had to rise early the next morning to line up for the parade which consisted of three miles. It was a great opportunity and a privilege to have this school represented across the na- tion. After the parade, the band was given free tickets to the Cotton Bowl Game where they watched Texas A.M. beat Auburn. They practiced all year with long hours of hard work and dedication to acheive this oppor- tunity along with a second division rating at University interscholastic League district contest.
