Fans celebrate Sherman Week Sherman week started and ended as one of the best ever in Denison. The jackets beat Sherman 36 - 6 and most of all kept the axe! Sherman week started out Monday with hats off to the jackets and everyone wore a hat to salute the jackets. Tues- day was sock it to the Bearcats and everyone wore their most colorful socks to show their spirit. Wednesday was turn Sherman inside out with everyone wearing their clothes inside-out. Thurs- day was put Sherman in the shade and everyone turned out with some real- ly great sunglasses. Friday was the original color day with everything from black-n-gold faces to the traditional black-n-gold clothing. A FACE OF BLACK 84 GOLD Paul Bardwell proudly displays his black and old face for color day. 'K is , g .ff 'I Y Rowdy Rag Craze - The United Service Club Row y Ra project gave jacket fans a chance to buy ate bright gold towels with the black jacket emblem and wave them at the playoff games. Fans bought flags, pen- nants and shirts pronouncing themselves jacket Backers. Sky High - Varsity cheerleaders paraded a variety of stunts in front of the students. Christy Holland, above, goes topside with a sign with Lori England and Betty Ann Martin lending a helping back while Beth Glass, Shawnna White, Marlene Fritts, Kendall McKinley and Michelle Martindale provide floor support. The Spirit continues D.H.S. spirit has grown over the last two years. It started in 1984 with the State Championship and has continued through 1985 with the Regional Cham- ionship. The Ye low jacket football team has been backed up all the way by the fans, Stingerettes, cheerleaders, band and Bleacher Bums. All through football season it was standing room only in Munson Stadium. Denison is surely home of the champions. Activities 19
