David Harrod Crowned 1984 Mr. Wonderful United Service Club's annual fundraising talent show and contest was a roaring success providing the club with scholar- ship money. A homeroom preview of the show lured one of the largest crowds of the year for an eve- ning of airband music, corny jokes, and competition. The 23 contestants modeled swim wear and evening wear. David Harrod, Mr. Wonderful 1984, also won the swimsuit contest. Duane Martin was Mr. Wonderful runner-up. Other winners were talent, Greg Hales, ' evening wear, Mike Bardwellg Most Congenial, club co-sponsor Mrs. Nancy Terry and Outstanding Drill Team performer, Tony Plauche. Mr. John Terry and club of- ficers coordinated the show screening contestants and selecting a panel of judges. Club members also took donations for 100 pounds of beef donated by a local super- market to raise scholarship funds.
