Leading the school spirit is just one of the very important jobs the cheerleaders do. 20 Activities Show Stoppers Spark Halftime Band, cheerleaders, flag corps, and the Stingerettes are a big part of halftime at DHS during football season. They all have to work hard and practice many hours to put on their best performances during halftime. . Grease ls the Word The fine arts department per- formed the musical Grease in November. Grease takes place at Rydell High School during the 1950's. The story is about teenagers trying to cope with high school problems. The cast and crew, under the direction of Mrs. Sylvia McBrayer, Mr. Roger Hanson and Mr. Jerry Pedersen worked for weeks to perfect the production. The performance received critical acclaim from students and parents who applauded the lively songs and the talented actors. NOW I TOLD YOU NOT T0 BE TARDY AGAIN - sophomore Travis Vernon played Sonny and senior Michele Giasson played Miss Lynch in the play Grease.
