Pep Rallies Boost Spirits Pep Rallies were something everyone at DHS looked for- ward to during football season. The combination of cheerleaders, drill team, flag corps, band, and spirit leaders helped to boost spirit throughout the entire season. LET'S NOT MESS UP - Rifle and flag corps perform their routine during a pep rally. HEY, LOOK AT ME - Senior Kelli Smith is all excited at the pep rally. 18 Activities SENIORS ARE THE BEST - Seniors Kevin Phillips, Mike McKinney, Kenneth Early, Tim Neal, Jobn Tarver, Jeff Camp, Dan Goodman, and Steve McCraw, show their school spirit at a pep rally. The seniors frequently won the competition yell at the week- ly pep rallies. -M-S-t.....,M ..-MMM ALL SMILES - The drill team performs one of their many routines at the pep rally. They work long hours to prepare for the pep rallies and football games. Leading the school spirit is just one of the very important jobs the cheerleaders do. 20 Activities Show Stoppers Spark Halftime Band, cheerleaders, flag corps, and the Stingerettes are a big part of halftime at DHS during football season. They all have to work hard and practice many hours to put on their best performances during halftime. .
