New Principal Arrives Eggs it Mr. Tom Parris joined the administrative staff this year. His co-workers are associate principals Mr. George Petrus and Mrs. Jackie Peters. The office secretaries and clerks are Mrs. Juanita Harris, secretary to the principalg Mrs. Nancy Edredge, principal's clerkg and Mrs. Dodie White, records clerk. Unassuming Victims - Lola Wrenn and Sharon Cobb are caught in the act of looking at pictures of cheerleading camp. All DHS cheerleaders work hard all week but still have time to take some pictures of all the fun they are having. The pictures must be real attention getters, because they did not even notice their picture was being taken. Activity New principal Tom Parris became an administrator because he enjoys leadership but mostly because he likes to see a school grow and become a winner in both academics and sports. He comes from Corsicana, where he was the assistant principal at Corsicana High and was also a teacher at Navarro College where he taught math. A native of Houston, he likes to water ski, go on Canadian fishing trips and watch sports. Mr. Parris went through college on a basketball scholarship. In college he majored in math and physics. 4 He would like Denison to excel even more in academics and sports. The changes he would like to see are more parking space for students and more classrooms. What does he like most about DHS? The student body and the faculty, replied Mr. Parris. Activities
