To Mr. Jesse Riddle, Mr. Eldon Sonnenburg Traditionally, the Yellow Jacket Annual Staff dedicates the yearbook to a person who makes a major contribution to Denison Senior High School. It is very difficult to select individuals from among the hundreds of people who daily give their work and talent toward making DHS the best school community it can possibly be - an environment and atmosphere where every student has an opportunity to develop his potential and where teachers and staff may work to fully realize their career goals. The staff honors two people who have dedicated millions of hours and all of themselves to DHS students. Working with discipline and humor, and demanding perfection, these two people earn tremendous respect and love of all whose lives they touch. Training young musicians to play in concert and march in formation, they answer each person's needs and help each one make the most of his or her talents and abilities. It is with pride that we dedicate the 1977 Yellow Jacket Annual to Mr. Jesse Riddle and Mr. Eldon Sonnenburg. Yellow Jacket Editor-in-Chief Angela Fairchild, upper right, dedicated the 1977 yearbook to the school's band directors 'in the May 19 awards assembly. Engraved key chains were presented to Mr. Riddle and Mr. Sonnenburg, lower left, as tokens of the year- book dedication. Mr. Riddle cel- ebrated his 100th half-time per- formance at D.H.S. during foot- ball season. Mr. Sonnenburg received a similar honor at Sher- man High School where he was band director for many years before coming to Denison in 1971. Dedication

The hard work begins wifh foofball, baskefball, baseball, club projecfs and '11-sg., acfivifies, and classes. Having fun and making memories, we don 'f even realize l fhe fime goes by - days, weeks, monfhs and a year. If will all end so soon. Here is fhe lasf six weeks. Seniors gel announcemenfs, caps and gowns, and everyone is being nice fo fhe feachers in hopes of passing. Then fhe dag comes - fhe lasf dag of school.
