The new '7 7 staff set up the teams to get opinions of player preference and set up practice drill for players before and after school. As positions and formations were filled, the Jackets and coaches formulated and improved their game plans. Preparation began for the first game, September 3, against Trinity and a scrimmage against Lancaster August 27 . V A New A 3 ' s I -W,L A fA'AAA A jg 5 el ,A ,,,,. if, -:Q Summer Qfudenfs Say Goodbye fo Summer The students at DI-IS would not quite be the same if not for their varied, favorite summer activities. It seems most students look forward to the outdoor life obtainable only during summer. Water sports seem to rate number one in preference for DHS students, with swimming ranking highest of all. Swimmers, whether in pool or lake, enjoy the frequent splurges in the cool water along with sunbathing. Others enjoy boating, sailing, camping, fishing, and diving at lakeside vacation spots. Downtown Denison attracts many students to gather along Main or Armstrong streets and enjoy good times. Several parking lots and restaurants provide meeting points. Along highway 75 , the drive-in shows and hamburger stands offer attractive points for both meeting and entertaining relaxation . Christi Means and Jayne Anne Maxwell, left, help Mark Roewe watch over the swimmers at Waterloo Pool. Kevin Farley takes what may be his last look for the summer at the beautiful lake, above.
