be reached as you continue to search for your own meaning of life. Your high school career is over and as so many have said the end of the beginning” is truly here. Looking back over the year, our world has been full of changes. American people were shocked by the Watergate Scandal and the resignation of President Richard M. Nixon. Oil embargos, and increasing worries of money, inflation, and recession dominated our concern about what was going to happen next. New records were broken. Henry Aaron came to bat on April 8, 1974, to hit his 715th homerun breaking Babe Ruth's 39 year old record of 714. Evel Knievel attempted to jump Snake River Canyon and Mauhammad Ali became the boxing champ for the second time. Persons you ve read about, seen on TV, and heard of nearly all of your life leave an emptiness when they die. The deaths of Jack Benny, Charles Lindberg, Lyndon Johnson, and Dizzy Dean saddened many. Realizing what they gave our world reminds us of our responsibility to our future. Our yesterdays should be remembered with happiness knowing that we made them the best while at the same time, we work to achieve dreams and meet challenges which will shape our tomorrows. Remember When . . . We learn through experiences and experiences become memories. As we get older we will recall our high school days and realize that they made up some our favorites times. So many memories are made in high school that it is almost impossible to keep them all. Some things cant be forgotten: the excitement of Friday night football games, the roar in the gym for basketball, the spirit displayed in pep rallies, and Sherman. Some experiences happen for the first time in high school. A first real date, going steady, or getting a car. Remember when you were a sophomore, your first day at DHS during Orientation? Remember when seniors yelled r Red Rover, Red Rover,” and sophomores DID come over??? Juniors, remember being a sophomore? The confusion and mistakes that were made? Now you re going to be seniors. This is the last year that you can make high school memories. And seniors, you must leave friends that have become close. Graduation severs school ties. Friends you ve learned to share important years with will travel different roads and only the friendship you had remains. You finally receive what you have been working for these twelve years, your diploma. New goals will 2 - Remember When

Remember When Remember all the good times? The fun and laughter, our football season, (a) traveling in the new van, (b) the children that visited the homemaking classes, (c) and the pep rally skits? Remember the rope burns from holding on in the rodeos, (d) being first across the tape in track, (e) all the smiling faces, (f) Coach Kaz, acting silly, (g) and the traditional Y-Teens Christmas basket?
