I . 5. l, 'l l ,il w l L l -'l KENNETH WILLIAMS, President FRED BADGETT, Treasurer 5 1 e RUTH CLARK, Vice-President SALLIE WILEY, Secretary i I 2 f' s l il, The great day came when this senior class of '25 gathered here at old D. H. S. li . from all the ward schools four years ago: It was a happy gathering, all were enthu- I ' ' siastic over the studies and'were working hard to reach the top of the ladder. It is I X true, the class is not nearly as large as it was in the freshman year, for year after year a number of students would drop out, until now there are approximately ninety I who will receive their diplomas. 2 Those students who have kept the faith and studied hard during their freshman il 4 year and their sophomore year, and so on up until their senior year, do not begrudge S 5 l their trials and hardships the least bit, as they now realize what an education is. ' lil , l When the class of '25 reached its junior year, as a whole it was determined to do ' ,l 1 ll , better in different activities, working to win honors, and have a better Yellow Jacket pl, than preceding classes. In most of these efforts, the senior class of '25 has accom- plished what it set out to do. ' r In the junior year, the girls of the domestic art department, who attended the iii clothing contest at Galveston, took honors. Some of the senior boys have received ' sweaters and little gold footballs for their good sportsmanship and clean playing in i 2 athletics. ' i fl l ' I a Then the years of '24 and '25 came, with this junior class, now advanced to seniors. I Q This class as a whole has prospered, publishing a paper of school life, supported by ll h the other classes of D. H. S. I' w 'I 1 l l I l 5 l fy '12-'iff' ' A t if-M-aw' aa. .
