The Nurse's Club is an organization made up of girls who plan to make nursing their profession. Our activities include visiting hospital and rest homes. Speakers come and discuss their careers in nursing and the many different types of schools of nursing. We have also done extensive research on nursing in general. We know not all of the girls in this club will become nurses, but we are trying to create interest in this field. Louisian Teen-ager Librarians Association, is a chapter of the State Library Association. It is required that every member of the club work in the school li- brary. The Letterman's Club carries through with this and hard training and competition. The athletics who receive letters in their respective sports are inducted into the club automatically. Key Club International is a service organization for boys of high school age. It is a part ofthe school because is it regulated by the school and draws membership from the student body. It is however, uniquely apart from school in sponsorship, aims and program. First, the Key Club is sponsored by Kiwanis Club composed ofthe area. This relation is important in learning about communities and peoples. Second, is the work by the Key Club to develop individual initi- ative and good citizenship. They apply the latest scientific ideas to many projects as they search for better ways to do things in their homes. Members of the club conduct programs based on their own needs and interests. The 4-H Club has many guideposts to help its members. These include: homemaking, good health, accepting and fulfilling respon- sibilities, earning a living, fellowship, and serving as citizens to maintain world peace.
