SCHOOL SAFETY PATROL Captain: Thonns Bradshaw Lieutenants: Dorothy Clirkos Nhrvin Werthan Patrolmenx Geynellc Loweg Virginia Pcfferg Herbert Goodrichg Garland Burtong Earl Holdsworthg Herman Burgessg Jack Andrews We organized on October 12, 194A with the above members for the purpose of keeping order on school buses, school grounds, and in the school building. There are two putrolmen stationed on each bus, one to keep order end the other to stop all care passing buses. The pupils of our school have cooperated with the petrol and have helped us to achieve our success. The violators of our rules have been taken before the patrol where the matter was settled and each one has profited by his mise take, , GLEE CLUB Our High School Glee Club was organized two years ago. Rach Tuesday, we have one period in which we sing songs of various types, under the leadership of Mrs. J. D. Burrow, Jr. and Mrs. T. B. Whitmore, the pianist. The High School Glee Club has taken pert in chapel pro- grams and also in various other musical programs when their help was needed during the school year. We have enjoyed these periods a great deql and have learned mo e about music from being a member of this organization. STAMP BUYING The pupils and teachers of Dendron School help save lives with war savings. They are helping to pay for the war, to stabilize prices and to provide postwar security. The Captains urge each member of their teams to invest weekly os unch as he can, thus systematically helping the war effort and at the same time saving his earnings. Seventy-three members of the school's enrollment Q ninety- seven have been 1002 in investing in stamps and bonds since September l9hh. Friends helped by buying stamps and bonds through the school. The boys and girls are happy to be among other schools qualifying for the Schools-at-War flag which requires 902 of the students saving regularly.
