There is no business like show business, is the motto of the Drama Club. Under the supervision of Mrs. Margarite Shimmin, the group presented two fine plays: Two Blind Mice, a satirical comedy, and The Star- Wagon, a science fiction drama. Applying make-up, selecting costumes, and casting the plays were only a few of the headaches the club experienced. ,fin Scenes from Two Blind Mice display the Drama Club's ability to portray different and difficult personalities. These Drama Club members are going over their lines in the dress rehearsal of their fallproduction i'Two Blind Mice . The Tar gridders compiled a record of six wins and one loss under the guidance of Coach Jim Stout and ended up in second place in the east side standings. Victories came easily at the hands of Cass 20-Og Pershing, 13-0, Northern, 20-12, and Northeastern, 27-7. The Denby eleven scored their first win, however, over arch rival Southeastern by a slim 2-0 count. Following that night game at Mack Park, the Blue and Gold had to wipe out a 13-0 deficit to defeat the inspired Tro- jans of Miller, 20-13. But perhaps the highlight of the campaign came against Eastern when the two unde- feated teams met under the lights for first place and a chance to go into the Good- fellow Game. The injury ridden Tars were able to battle Eastern to a stand still, ex- cept for one pass play. The final score was Eastern 6, Denby 0. Two Tars received all-city recog- nition for their prowess on the grid- iron. End, Larry Harding and guard, Ron Bernock earned the coveted white stripes. as ' H am in .x4cfLon ardifg ijbofgaff lam Row 1-- Frank Palmer, Ron Sobczak, Ron Perian, Don Nicol, Ted Dodenhoff, Bob Pin- der, John Cole.
