Jlwofdk H' Feeling his way through an intricate maze, Reputedly simple and in a daze, Ever the brunt of mischievous jokes, Seerning to fall for the same old hoax, He buys an elevator pass, and then Manages to learn what a fool he's been. Hs one of the little people he's known: Naive little FRESHIE that isn't quite grown. Scampering through the halls all day, Oft, if not always, in everyone's way, Poise, he has none, and though not very wise He never a pass to the elevator buys. Opening for teachers the doors so wide, Making the A's which so bolster his pride, Often he's shy toward the opposite sex, Retreating from them as though from a hex: Eager young SOPHOMORE with luck at his side. Iabbering not over senseless things, Understanding all life and the problems it brings, Never afraid of the tasks to be done, Intrepedly placing all work before fun, Of all Denby's clubs he fills a majority, Responsible IUNIOR, the honored authority. Stately he is in manner and dress, Expecting to find in all things success, Never receiving below B's and A's Ignoring not one whom he meets in K's, Out into the world he soon will be going, Respected old SENIOR with fears never showing. -by PAT SMITH l5
