Juniors Bid Seniors Goodbye At Reception With Theme Fantasy Under The Sea” On May 2, 1959, the Junior class honored the graduating class with a banquet. The theme of the ban- quet was Fantasy Under the Sea. An under-water scene covered the entire north wall of the cafeteria. The center attraction was an old sunken chest lying in the sand and overflowing with sparkling jewels. The false ceiling and walls were made of blue crepe paper. Several kinds of fish hung from the ceiling to give the effect of being under the sea. The Junior mothers provided the guests with a delicious meal served by the Freshmen girls in this Neptune ' s Hideaway. After the feasting, visitors from the bottom of the sea, the Singing Seventeen from St. Joseph Col- lege, entertained by singing several enjoyable selections. To end the evening the sea-farers celebrated with worms (serpentines) and fish eggs (confetti) in a rous- ing swim (grand march) around the sea growth.
