FOOTl3ALL Although the Wildcat's '59 football season was begun by a disappointing loss to Cathedral. the Wild- cats under direction of coaches Rusty Hofacket and Ray Canady teamed up and strengthened their line against their opponents and came back with six victories under their belt to win the District 3-A Cham- pionship. This was won after just slightly slipping by T. or C. during a game in which the half-hearted spirit of the Wildcats almost caused disaster. This game was won by only one penetration. The defeat of Cobre by the Wildcats cinched the district for the team and from there the going was rough. Page 106
