Submitted for your approval: an incredible group of Seniors, a class which has created a new meaning for the word party. Enter a world where life begins at 3:20 Friday afternoon and ends at 8:20 Monday morning; where swelled heads and Senioritis run rampant. Beware, for you are about to witness THE CLASS OF '88! It began in a small town, in a small way. Quietly, a new freshman class entered Deming High School in 1984. Spirited, Talented. Hard workers. Hard partiers. For some reason, we were different from all the classes before. We weren't freshman, thank God, we were ninth graders. Like a bottle or a can dropped in a pond, this beginning sent out ripples. Everywhere, teachers and students were talking about us. What would we do next? To what new highs would spirit rise under our domination? The ripples spread. Summer came and went. Instead of ninth graders, we became sophomores: more experienced, even more spirited. Again, we stunned our teachers. Again, we showed what partying really means ... and again, and again, and again. The ripples grew. Junior year: Algebra II and Advanced Biology, harder work, bigger parties. Now we were leaders. Instead of going to parties, we were throwing them. Take the Prom for instance, an incredible night when we celebrated into the early hours of the morning. Need we say more? At last, the ripples became tidal waves, huge enormous tidal waves: Seniors! Definition time: Seniors — students with awesome spirit, fantastic talents (you wouldn't believe some of the things we could do), and one heck of a demolition derby team. Now our parties were bigger and more often than ever. What? It's Tuesday? heck, let's have a party!!! Deadly Senioritis set in, but even so, we got through Chemistry, History, and even the dreaded research paper. Somehow, we managed to make it, even though most of the time it was only to get to the weekend. A lot of things have changed since the first year. We started out as ninth graders and made it to Seniors, losing some innocence along the way, but gaining experience and memories. And we've left some memories behind us, too. We'll always be remembered by our friends, by our teachers, and by all the classes to come. We were The Class of 1988, and we were dam good!
