G R A D U A T I O N Graduation '88 included the usual three nights of activities, but somehow Class Night really set the Class of '88 apart and showed just what we felt and how close we are. We sang We've Had the Time of Our Lives'' and knew that while our great high school years were over, we still had many good times to come. Valedictorian, Rob Linville, and Salutatorian, Karla Fralix, broke tradition, as the class is known for doing, and gave a combined address, based on a few memories that told the story of how we grew to be so close. The night was highlighted with a giant slide show, accompanied by Valerie Sweeney singing Friends. The words were heart-felt, that a lifetime's not too long to share as friends. Thanks to everyone who helped to get us this far, especially our sponsors, Mrs. Donnie King and Mrs. Karla Allison. And until we all meet again . ..

Seniors in a classroom was a rare scene. Most took every opportunity to leave, maybe in search of some element of finality, or mauve just some Kodak moments. Whatever the case, we all made.the most of it. The class was excused from lunch at school, and allowed to so to town to Mac's Place or some other area destination to eat. When we returned to Deming in the afternoon, of course it was still there, but the atmosphere was somehow different. Our last day together as a high school class was almost over. Needless to say, we made the most of it. A lot of the class was drawn to the 3rd floor hallway, and even into Dalejan's office. Maybe it was his magnetic personality. Maybe it's another one of those unsolved mysteries. From there, the class paraded throughout the school, chanting various senior slogans, and making sure we shared our spirit with everyone. This was highlighted bu a surprise — attack — cheer in the Board of Ed. office. The day was almost over, but it wouldn't end without the inevitable water fights. And then we left to go our own ways, but we'll always be together, the Class of '88 forever. 27
