THE WAY WE WERE . .. Every school yeor is different, ond 82-80 certoinly contoined its shore of unique experiences. All the othlefic cooches were new. Potti Price reploced T. Ross Moore in administration. Charles Adams replaced long time Ag teacher 6. T. Harding. Vicki Morgan become librarian. Dan Omlor returned for a year to direct publications, teach English and coach debate. Jeannie Meacham left her CETA duties for junior high math and science. Ed Lowdenback struggled to bring Deming into the computer age, and the annua! senior trip added a Bermuda cruise. Mrs. Davis welcomed a new baby and longtime custodian Jim Morgan suffered a heart attack, although he was able to return to work by May. The seventh grade girls dominated the intramural basketball tournament. Junior high English classes added current films E.T. and Something Wicked to their literary studies. An unusually mild winter caused few days missed from school, but a March flu epidemic shut it down for a week. And UK basketball coach Joe Hall spoke at a Deming pep rally.
