We, the Seniors of 1978 Gratefully Dedicate This Yearbook to: Mrs. Massey has been a part of each student — elementary and secondary — for many years. A dedicated person, Mrs. Massey plans menus that are healthful and plenteous and yet economical. One simply does not think of the school cafeteria without thinking of Anna Mae Massey. Is Senior Year really worth looking forward to? All the work and the hardships that we put into, just waiting for that special day. All Freshmen have experienced the thrill of victory and the agony of defeat just going through our first year of high school. Succeeding in our money Projects and guiding ourselves through the year were our victories. Seeing ourselves growing away from our work and losing all the great times we had in Junior High were our defeats. But once again our hearts were lightened to look for what we have ahead of us. That special day is the day we hear ourselves called Sophomores. Thanks to Miss Meacham who guided us through our first year, we hope to have her guide us through the next three years. Sears Roebuck and Co. Compliments of 109 S. Main Street J. Thaxter Sims Cynthiana, KY Cynthiana and Mt. Olivet, KY After five steaks Mary gave her ice cream to Duane! Give me your ice cream, and I’ll let you chew gum 6th hour!!! Teachers Are People It Is sometimes difficult for a student when seated in a classroom to think of a teacher as being anything other than a teacher, or better yet as a human being. However, the person holding that grade book, and writing on the blackboard, or giving a weeks worth of assignments to do in one night does have a life outside of school. Teachers do not anxiously await Monday mornings nor do they feel disappointed on snow days. If anything, they look forward to TGIF,” Thank God it's Friday, with more enthusiasm than the students. They do not enjoy grading a “mile high stack of papers, dealing out F's”, or giving students a hard time. Teachers want, very much, for their students to succeed, and do well. Teachers do the best they know how and it’s time we appreciated their efforts. 7. Patti Price — English 8. Sandra Murray — Art 9. G. T. Harding — Vocational Agriculture 10. At other times we felt all alone, isolated in the midst of a crowd. Oui existence was one of constant new beginnings and continuous endings that filled our lives and our memories It was our year, molded by the vast and diverse character of who we were and had become. Senior Capers Mr. C and his sweat hogs Four Years of Hard Work We ll gel to Florida one way The Seniors worked hard to finance their Senior trip to Flo rida, but it was well worth it. They had car washes, bake sales, raffles, sold calendars, sold annual ads, worked in lunchroom at school fair, and carried out many other money making proiects. Of course. Dads and Moms helped too.
