...........T ’ $1 ►1 :Z5?jr w+mmtmmm+- I mmminm+mw m PROPHECY WfnSEi I I When it was decreed that the future of the Senior Class of 1941 was to bo given into the hands of this your prophet, to do with even as I listed, I cried cut in a loud voice of lam:ntation. declaring, “Who am I that the future of this glorious class should depend upon me? I cannot rule the destinies of these fair and beautiful maidens, or foretell the fu- 8 .• ►’I ture of these handsome ycung men.” Behold, a w'hisper of an unkcwn voice spoke to me cut of that great darkness, the future, and straightaway as out cf the Heaven there appeared to me that fair and lcvely Spirit cf Prophecy, the Angel of things to ccme, and lo; she relied back the encircling curtain of the dim beyond that I might behold things that shall yet come. Fct as I locked into the cloud of the future I saw those who were once my classmates, now become ev en as they heped to be. I could see cur president, Mildred Gifford, In all her majestic dignity, serving as hostess in the White Derby Cafe. Nathalee Thomas has become the wife cf the fermer proprietor of the cafe. Our fair and fascinating “amateur beautician.” Margaret Hester, is a professional hair stylist and a pronounced old maid. Marion Wheary finally decided to be a farmerette, and is now the wife of t;ne of our former basketball stars. Mack Linville, despite his artistic ability, has succumbed to the art of pulling teeth. Stanley French is an expert “Scientific Farmer.” Bob Ballingal, the heart-throb of all the Freshman girls, has at last obtained his degree of State Farmer after studying English for three years after graduating. Mark Bradley, President of Vassar College, is offering a special course to girls in' the art of wcoing “Dogpatch Style.” Frances French is new a conscript wife living in Texas. Marion Mullikin, after 20 years in a convent, has given up her faith and Joined the Girl Scouts. Wanda Chamberlin is happily married after her unsuccessful campaign fer valedictory honors.
