FOREWORD This is an account of Delta State, 1963. When you turn through the pages of this yearbook, the Broom staff hopes you will find the memorable events, the moods, the opinions — all the entities of Delta State recorded here. A simple object — the door — has been used as a sym- bol throughout this book. It is a symbol to remind you of the doors you have opened at Delta State. Perhaps you were on your way to classes, or to some social event, or perhaps on your way to meet a friend. Perhaps as you opened some particular door, you were on your way to a greater insight into knowledge, a higher step into maturity, or a broader understanding of all of life.
