It should tend to bind you to the institution for all time to come and to make you vitally interested in its welfare. If it does, then I know you will not permit yourselves to forget that the institution is dependent upon you, those who have preceded you, and those who will follow for much of the public support which will largely determine whether it moves forward to greater glory and greater service or stands still, and perhaps slowly decays.
