1948 marks the twentieth anniversary of The Broom, our college annual, which was named in memory of Delta State ' s first president, Jim Broom. This book has portrayed between its covers the lives of our students during times of peace and plenty, during the years of depression, and the period of four years when our world was in turmoil and war. Each edition has offered something dear to the hearts of students, memories that will never be forgotten.
