' M FRONT ENTRANCE CLEVELAND HALL CLEVELAND HALL AND SCOTT DINING HALL HOME OF THE PRESIDENT ADMINISTRATION BUILDING WARD HALL HOME OF THE DEAN SCOTT DINING HALL College offers an opportunity for you to make something out of yourself. You find in college an opportunity and a re- sponsibility to use a great investment which the State pro- vides for your education. The State has a right to expect returns from its investment. The State is depending on you. William Marion Kethley, A. M., President. School teaching is a great adventure — worthy of the strong in mind and the pure in heart. As the teachers of today think and do, so will the children of tomorrow be. There is at the command of men no agency other than the schools to bring children into vital relations with the heritage of the past and set the stage for the new born experiences of expectant souls. Teachers colleges are dedicated to the task of making teachers worthy of sitting in at the meeting place of mind and matter and of witnessing there the renaissance of a new freedom as children struggle under friendly guidance to solve their own perplexing problems. The scorebook is a poor and inadequate yardstick to measure the success of the 1935-36 football squad. In score, there were better teams in the conference, but in sportsmanship, grit, and determination, the statesmen proved themselves sec- ond to none in any conference. The season was one to test the mettle of every man from coach to water boy, and every man came up, pure hard steel. This season was victorious in more ways than one, and Coach Zimoski can justly feel proud of the work he has directed. V v v v v v v v v v V v v v v v v v v v v Our FOOT ) 1 1 •mr 8 '  « - 1.
