Captain Lamar Fat Beevers Tackle Fat ' s four years of invaluable service in the Delta line won for him the captaincy for his final year. His presence was a stimulant to the whole team. When he flung himself into the line great was the crash. There will be something unusual miss- ing from the line yext year in Captain Beevers ' indomitable spirit which will not be forgotten in the rush of the coming seasons. 2. James Flack End and Back A cleaner player, a better sportsman and a harder fighter never played football for Delta State. Flack ' s sportsmanship on the campus as well as on the field won for him many honors. He is no doubt one of the best all-round athletes Delta State has ever had. His ability won for him the honor cf All Conference End in 1933 and again on second team in 1934. 3. Jack Red Brown Back A flashy back of splendid material, Red has been a valuable player for the Statesmen. Here ' s to another successful year for Red. 4. Milton Gary Back Milton was ever ready for action. His one year with the Statesmen showed us what he can do, and what he will do in the future. We ' re betting on you, Milton. 5. Terrell Melton Back Melton ' s playing won for him loud acclaim and praise from both student body and visitors. His line plunging has seen no equal on the field. 11. Back Sturgeon was a hard fighter. Another year or two ought to make him one of Delta ' s best men. 14. Ben Hardy End A transfer from Raymond Junior College. Ben is going strong and is making a strong bid for regular first place next year. 15. George Boozer Tackle It is men of Boozer ' s type who help to build a good team. There are lots of football players, but only one George Boozer. 16. Berlin Santa Griffin Center Although Santa was not a regular he showed much determination. He encouraged the team with his fignt. Watch out for Santa next year. 20. Travis Boykin Travis did his part building Delta Roy Griffin Guard A hard fighter and plenty of what it takes. Ed Little Pup Sullivan Also ... Guard head, Ed has played his last game for Delta. Many years will pass before Delta will see another guard as sturdy and dependable as Ed. Philip Tarzan Hicks Tackle A big man and a hard worker revelling in action. He was a tower of strength on defense. He plaved the game — a stellar game — in every con- flict. 21. Claude Chicago Kelly Center Fast and powerful, truly a football player, Kelly was a pedestal at his position. He is a four year letter man. Speeding down the field past his opponent was his hobby. Alfred Butler Guard Butler is just a freshman, but he has the mak- ings of a good player.
