The Eternal Triangle For Grade 12 Art students the triangle and the Delta Crest became a thing almost eternal. The crest was modelled in sculptor ' s clay, four feet high as shown above. Then came the arduous job of casting it in plaster. The clay model and the plaster mould required the muscle power of five boys in the class just to move it or turn it over. Now, weeks (would you believe months? ) later we have yet to complete the finishing of the cast and the bronzing. It is hoped that some day the crest may grace the walls of our auditorium after it has been renovated in 1970.

Time Made Eternal As the brush wets the paper The pendulum swings, back and forth And the arms of the clock Swing round in a perfect circle As the genius of creation Is transferred from man to media The hours repeat. The night grows old. And the morning comes. And finally the piece is finished, The idea expressed. Made eternal and the work stops But the arms of the clock Pass the hours again And continue, eternally As the artist sleeps. Still Life In October the Art Room took on the appearance of Ye Olde Antique Shoppe with stuffed birds, bottles, pots and pans and musical instruments. This priceless junk was mounded up in the centre of the room into a dozen or more still-life groups. 1. Dianne Osborne tackles an old cello in water colour. 2.
